MENTAL HEALTH NURSING ASSESSMENTS

Detailed assessment that can be completed by a mental health trained nurse and other allied health practitioner to identify aggression, violence, suicide, self-harm violence, vulnerability and misadventure by participants.

Detailed assessment by a trained mental health clinician regarding specific violent risks. Typically prescribed after completing a general risk assessment and a significant violence risk is identified. Used for participants who have serious history and ongoing risk of violence.

 A plan developed by mental health clinicians that provides specific information and strategies regarding a consumer to inform and assist emergency services (police and ambulance) to mediate a mental health event involving a participant in the community.
