Help them identify triggers:
We will work with the participant to identify situations or experiences that trigger their anxiety. Understanding these triggers can help the person develop coping strategies and learn to manage their anxiety.
Teach relaxation techniques:
We will teach the participant relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, or meditation. These techniques can help the participant feel calmer and more in control.
Encourage self-care:
We will encourage the participant to engage in self-care activities, such as exercise, healthy eating, and getting enough sleep. These activities can help the participant feel better physically and mentally.
Provide support:
Recovery coaches will be available to listen and provide emotional support. We will let the participant know that they are not alone in their struggle.
Offer perspective:
We will help the participant challenge negative or unrealistic thoughts that may be fueling their anxiety. Offer a different perspective to help the participant see the situation in a different light.
Encourage them to seek professional help:
If the participant's anxiety is severe or interfering with their daily life, encourage them to seek professional help. A mental health professional can provide therapy, medication, or other treatments to help manage anxiety.
Provide resources:
We will provide the participant with resources such as books, podcasts, or support groups that can help them learn more about anxiety and connect with others who have similar experiences.
